AiLARM ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to provide our services:
- Health Data (Optional): With your permission, we access sleep data from Apple HealthKit to optimize your wake times. This data is processed entirely on your device and never transmitted to our servers.
- Calendar Data (Optional): With your permission, we read your calendar to include upcoming events in your morning briefing. This data stays on your device.
- Location Data (Optional): Used only to provide weather information in your morning briefing. We do not store or track your location.
AI Morning Briefings
To generate personalized morning briefings, we send the following to our AI service provider:
- Your city/region (for weather)
- Current date and time
- Your selected news categories
We do not send any personally identifiable information, health data, or calendar details to external services.
Sleep Sounds & Meditations
All soundscapes and meditation audio files are stored locally on your device after download. No usage data related to your sleep patterns or listening habits is transmitted externally.
Data Storage
All your alarms, sleep flows, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain user accounts or store personal data on external servers.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- OpenAI API: For generating morning briefings (receives only city, date, and news preferences)
- Apple HealthKit: For sleep data (processed on-device only)
- RevenueCat: For managing purchases (receives only anonymous user IDs)
Your Rights
You can:
- Revoke health data access at any time in iOS Settings
- Disable calendar and location permissions
- Delete the app to remove all local data
Children's Privacy
AiLARM is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date.
